THE WAR OF LEGEND
THE WAR OF LEGEND

groudon and kyogre, as it appeared, were not the only two with differences to settle.
[break][break]
many times, always and for all of continuity, the two would battle. like a well-worn, tired tale, the demons would awaken at the hands of aqua and magma, stopped by only the sky. but if the sky were to fail? in front of god-like pokemon, after all, humans are but spectators. when the sun and the sea fought for glory, humans were inevitably the spectators -- to their own demise.
[break][break] (2015) nobody is sure what exactly the time was, or what happened. all accounts talk of different things - but everyone was certain it was sometime in the rainy, heat daze of summer. a meteorite burning with a mass of raw, untainted energy entered the earth's atmosphere. it was small enough to land in the dark ocean and not really hurt anybody at all -- when the comet landed, everyone cheered. the human race had survived a would-be catastrophe.
[break][break]
but that raw energy sent directly into the depths of the dark, dark, dangerous ocean did something far more sinister.
[break][break]
the ocean's wrath was unleashed upon the world, kyogre in its primal form brimming with dangerous, terrifying energy -- enough to scare even aqua. overnight, the seas of hoenn were too crazed to navigate anything coming in or out -- the country had become locked from the very waves that made it beautiful. magma, however, took it as a challenge to their integrity, and the war between gods was on once again.
[break][break]
groudon came to life. the earth shook. the seas screamed. and the people of hoenn turned to the sky for help.
[break][break]
communications lost and transport virtually impossible, hoenn became cut off from the world. the clash of the titans dragged on for ages longer than any expected, right through the winter where supplies became scarce. help was on its way in the form of trainers - though many tried, every time their pokemon came close to the titans, a mad rage would over the creatures, making them violent and dark. magma and aqua were in a frenzy - was what they did wrong after all?[break][break]
they would never know.
[break][break]
all of a sudden, inexplicably and amazingly, other legendaries joined in. they had things between them that mortals would never understand, and the world erupted into chaos, with the center of the death and destruction at ever grande city -- now a ruin of its namesake. all the pokemon joined in in the battle - attacking humans left and right, turning rabid and unreachable.

(2050) the last of the humans, the survivors. they were in one way or another, the chosen ones. with the only pokemon unaffected by the madness at their side, they finally understood how foolish they'd been. though unrecorded, they made a pact. they would, no mattered what the future held, promise to preserve the bond between humans and pokemon and bring peace to the world again. the last of the healthy pokemon died; a sacrifice so that maybe humanity would make good on its word.

THE VENDETTA
THE VENDETTA

[attr="class","staffbody"]
(2070) the first of the gijinkas arrived -- assumed to be a result of humanity's continued desire for survival. in other words, evolution. faster, sharper, smarter, this new 'race' quickly ousted the last. homo sapiens died out, replaced by their better alternative. [break][break]
(2111) the peace that their ancestors dreamed of is a myth. war is at every angle, and by coincidence or by sheer irony, the ones that have survived the apocalypse seem to be mostly the once proud members of aqua and magma, still bitterly deluded by their rivaling ideals. reconstruction begins - with aqua and magma leading the new frontier. hoenn remains
[break][break]
(2200) hoenn stands divided, hiding in the ruins of what it used to be. aqua and magma have claimed their previous headquarters as their homes, and people now look to them as both saviors and tyrants. there is no better choice than joining aqua and magma and working for them, either to rebuild and revive or to skirmish and die.
[break][break]
all areas had fences to keep out the wild and viscous pokemon -- the mere mention of these monstrosities driving people to tears and rage. gangs wars are frequent- certain areas establish themselves as neutral. lilycove and lavaridge can never see eye to eye. the war wages on: silent, colder.
[break][break]
new leaders in both aqua and magma, each team with its own history and passion and each with a different reason to seek both war and peace. days turn to years and facts blur to legends. unbidden yet unhindered, the vendetta continues.
