THE POINTS SYSTEM
THE POINTS SYSTEM

the term "points" (not be confused with poke) refers to the site system of plot-points. meaning a small type of 'currency' which, instead of allowing you to buy things or progress with your character, allows you to influence the plot. the amount of points on the counter (next to the cbox) refers to how dominant one faction is in the current going ons of the plot. basically, the amount of points earned through missions determines the standing of each of the three factions. and how the plot progresses. the plot progresses when:[break][break]
1. a certain amount of time has passed and a given faction is in the lead.[break][break]
2. a given faction reaches a certain number of points. this advances the plot in their favor regardless of whether or not they are in the lead.
[break][break]
the counter may be checked for plot-related updates at different times depending on how fast the characters and members are progressing and what pace the site seems to go at. however, regardless of pace, the counters will be reset every two months OR when one group hits 100 points.

MISSIONS
MISSIONS

other than being the only way to level up, missions are pretty much the core of vendetta's roleplay. they are responsible for furthering the site plot through the unique point system. in order to take on missions, you must meet requirements which range from member group to rank to level to miscellaneous things such as gijinka type and a move requirement. missions will be labelled aqua, magma, or neutral depending upon the type of point it gives out. however, some missions are called open missions which give points not based on the nature of the mission but based on what faction you belong to. [break][break]
if you see a mission you like, create a thread in the specified area (anywhere if the area is not given), and post in the mission thread. a mod will post and after completing every mission and posting in that missions thread, you will be given an "ending statement" (ES) by the mod which dictates exactly what impacts your mission played on moving the plot along. sound confusing? here's a sample mission and a sample ending statement:
[break][break]
mission: the lack of grunts running around the HQ has pissed off the leader more than what has been expected. even though it's rookie season all over again, the base seems to be a ghost town. go to mauville and recruit supporters for your allegedly noble cause.
[break][break]
ending statement: upon hearing what you have to say, the residents of mauville have been fired up and look towards your team as a new hope. your words may have tilted the future negotiations of magma and aqua in your home's favor. though the future is unknown, for now, mauville quietly ponders its state as a 'neutral' territory.
[break][break]
every single mission counts towards the site in some way and that's just a sample ES! most will be specialized to suit exactly how you approached the mission. the plot can be influence with enough ES's, however small.[break][break]
note: ESes are given after the completion of the entire mission, not after each time a character/member completes the mission. they will be posted on the mission thread.
